Nestled among the Nature Coast’s lush pine forests and glimmering lakes, Heritage Pines has much to offer adventure-seeking retirees. Here, residents can partake in an array of outdoor activities that includes golfing, biking, and swimming.

Living in this active adult community brings you close to pristine beaches, premier shopping destinations, sports events, and the arts.
Situated on the border of Hernando and Pasco counties, the community is within 30 miles of Clearwater and an hour’s drive from Tampa.

Real estate

Heritage Pines is made up of several self-governing villages. In some villages, homeowners associations (HOA) take care of maintenance. Landscaping fees in these maintained villages cover pest control, mowing, trimming, and irrigation, so residents don’t need to do any outside work.

In other villages, residents are free to maintain their own homes and lawns as they please.

The housing stock is fairly new – construction began in 1999 and ended after six years. Today, there are over 1,400 residences comprised of single-family homes, detached villas, and attached villas which can only be purchased on a re-sale basis.

Most homes have 2 to 4 bedrooms, 2 to 3 bathrooms, and attached 2-car garages. They command views of the golf course or the conservation area that surrounds the community. Luxurious features like oak cabinets, glass-enclosed showers, and garden tubs are common.

The homes in this community also come in a variety of styles and floor plans, giving buyers plenty to choose from.

Amenities

The community boasts a well-regarded 18-hole championship golf course designed by Ron Garl. Designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary in 2014, the Heritage Pines golf course has expansive fairways and manicured greens. The 18th hole is situated on a peninsula in a lake, which makes for a dramatic finish.

Four lighted tennis courts and two bocce ball courts are available for friendly matches, while a heated pool and spa lets residents unwind and relax. Trails for biking and walking are also available.

At 18,500 square feet, the massive clubhouse contains a well-equipped fitness center, cards and billiards room, and a performing arts hub. Hobbyists will surely enjoy the woodworking shop and arts and crafts studio, while bookworms will appreciate the library and its impressive book collection.

Residents can feast on scrumptious food at the on-site fireside dining bar & grill, which is perfect for get-togethers and intimate gatherings.

There are many opportunities to meet new people and socialize – a full-time lifestyle director organizes fun community events throughout the year, while clubs and committees are always looking for members or volunteers.

The Shops at Wiregrass, a retail destination, is just minutes away. Dillard’s, JC Penney, and Lane Bryant are just some of the storefronts you’ll find there.

Hudson Beach, one of the least crowded beaches in Florida, is ideal for picnics and boating.
